Saturday 11th April 2020
Today was another one of those lazy sort of days. We played Animal Crossing and watched some YouTube videos cwtched up on the sofa. A little bit later on I remembered I had bought an Easter Gingerbread kit (I have no idea what gingerbread has to do with Easter, but I thought it would kill an hour or two). The pack contained some pre-mixed gingerbread dough, a bunny rabbit biscuit cutter, a red icing pen and some sprinkles. I had also picked up some extra icing pens as in my experience warp-girl is never happy with monochrome biscuit creations. The packet said ‘makes 10’, which was clearly a lie because we had enough dough left over for some other Easter designs and even a dinosaur for warp-boy. The biscuits turned out pretty well and warp-girl had fun decorating them, even if she did proceed to squeeze all the remaining icing into her face at the end…

Happy Easter Everyone! warp-girl was up at the crack of dawn, bouncing around our bedroom, desperate to see whether the Easter Bunny had been and left an Easter egg hunt for her and warp-boy. As is customary when magical strangers may have left gifts in our house, warp-girl, warp-boy and jef stayed in our room, while I checked whether the bunny had been… He had! Hooray! Let the egg hunt commence! I couldn’t help thinking that the Easter Bunny been particularly inconsiderate this year having hidden the second egg downstairs, the third upstairs, the forth back upstairs and so on. It wasn’t even 07:00 and I had not had any coffee so it was a real struggle to remain enthusiastic when running upstairs for the forth time… The silly bunny even forgot to leave one of the clues, but luckily (after exchanging glaces with jef) I found his mobile number so I rang him and he was able to tell me the clue over the phone… Finally the hunt was over, culminating in a chocolate rabbit for warp-girl and a Peppa Pig egg for warp-boy in the washing machine, which were promptly demolished.
