Bristol Gaming Market 2019

Perusing game related wares. When we’re not retro game collecting or playing, we can often be found watching gaming related videos on YouTube. About six months ago on one such occasion, we stumbled across a channel called Let’s Talk Retro and their video series The Retro Gamer Show. This series takes a look at various retro games and systems, current reboots and gaming events. At the end of each episode the hosts give details of various retro gaming events which are happening across the UK and this is where we found out about the Bristol Gaming Market. Run by Replay Events, Bristol Gaming Market is held at the Passenger Shed just outside Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station and they hold similar events at various locations including London and Doncaster. The tickets were very reasonable, costing just £5 for early access, and the parking was right on the doorstep. Inside was a treasure trove of all things retro. There were hordes of games, consoles & peripherals, plush toys, figures and much more. I have to admit I was very excited! There was plenty of space to peruse and it wasn’t long before we found some new titles to add to our collection. I even bumped into Colin & James from the Retro Gamer Show who were lovely and stopped for a chat. All in all it was a fantastic little event and something we will definitely be looking to attend again.

Look out for more posts soon. But until then, Happy Gaming!
